Musical language is to music what grammar is to language.

It is a field of study that seeks to research the different musical elements, including development and the methodology to analyse, listen, understand and compose music. Teachers adapt their way of teaching to suit the different skills and knowledge levels of our pupils, which is the Royal School of Music’s key to success.
The more you understand what is behind each of these notes, what makes a good melodic line, what the rules of harmony are, etc., the more assured you will feel when playing a piece and the more confidence you will have when performing it.
ABRSM or Trinity College is compulsory for any student wanting to obtain any kind of advanced music qualification. We prepare our students for the certificate by:
  1. Developing a reasonable understanding of music when composing or analysing.
  2. Starting to recognise the basic concepts of performance: dynamics, balance, tempo, etc.
  3. Working on the skills to begin to tackle reasonably complex musical passages.

ABRSM study plans. We have a 100% pass rate in these.
